Dr. G. Arun Maiya is an alumnus of MAHE and Dr. Maiya is the recipient of Dr. TMA Pai Endowment Chair in Exercise Sciences & Health Promotion. Presently he is chief coordinator for Centre for Diabetic Foot Care & Research, MAHE and is heading the prestigious research grant funded by World Diabetes Foundation (WDF) “Diabetic Foot care: Stepping ahead”. Dr Maiya published more than 150 scientific publications in both national and international journal and received more than 10 research grants from both national and international funding agency.

Dr. Maiya is a member of National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC), and Board of Studies & Advisory members of Universities in India and Malaysia. He is the recipient of fellowships from Sparkman Centre for Global Health, The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health, USA, UK-India Education Research Initiatives (UKIERI), Clinical Fellowship in the field of Low Level Laser Therapy at Nice-Antipolis University, France and Clinical Podiatry certification from Indian Podiatry Association and Accredited Foot Balance Medical Expert, from Finland Podiatry Medical Association and having Membership of American Podiatry Medical Association and other reputed international Association.
